Middletown

Middletown is the suburban, oceanfront community just north of Newport on Aquidneck Island. Whereas Newport is an urban, densely populated (and beautiful) city, Middletown is just a mile up the road, where Aquidneck opens up for some breathing room. It’s home to the best public beaches in the East Bay area, gorgeous oceanfront landscapes, the U.S. Undersea Warfare Center, plus many restaurants and shopping areas.
